Summer 2015
My Dear Reading and Writing Friend,
Thanks for stopping by today. I’m so excited to tell you about a new adventure I’ve had. Well, perhaps “excited” isn’t the right word. But I’ve been caught up in another murder, this time at my local grocery store. Can you believe it? Who’d want to kill somebody in a grocery store? “Clean up on aisle 7” takes on a whole new meaning, right?
Anyway, determined to embrace my writer’s ability to face conflict, I’m now on a roller coaster of emotions with over-indulgences all around me, and one of those over-the-top experiences left a good woman dead and a special needs man accused of killing her. I’m definitely going to have to step in. See? I’m getting braver all the time.
And that handsome hunk, Gabriel Caerphilly is giving me plenty of trouble–heart trouble too. Please join me summer of 2015 in my tale of too much, Sliced Vegetarian.
July, 2013
Hi Everybody!
I’m Daisy Arthur, a widow and retired special education teacher of Independence High School in Littleton, Colorado–or as my friend, Kitty Beaumont, calls it, land of monotony and boredom.
At least it was boring until I joined the Hugs ‘N’ Kisses romance writer’s critique group. Then the trouble began.
At first it was only that I was a terrible writer. My group just couldn’t appreciate the lovely romantic details I put in my story, claimed something about not having enough conflict to move my plot along.
The next thing I knew, one of our group members, Father Rico Sanchez was found murdered in the Platte River. That enough conflict for you?
The next piece of trouble was Gabriel Caerphilly. Not that Gabe is trouble. He’s a police lieutenant for Littleton. My heart was in trouble every time he stared at me with those incredible periwinkle blue eyes. Unfortunately, I think Gabe was staring at me more because he thought I might be a killer than that any mutual attraction existed. Darn!
I met Gabe when his daughter, Ginny, was a student of mine, but we were both in bad emotional places then, him with his divorce going on, and me just losing my husband, Art.
Anyway, as things began to heat up between Gabe and me, so did the case of Faith On The Rocks. I hope you’ll join me in this adventure and help me solve the crime before I become the next victim.
Cool!
